Hello,

1. We want to thank all of our users and we appreciate you being a Sierra Chart user. We are happy for your support. It has enabled us to continue to grow and improve Sierra Chart.

We do invest a lot in development which is costly. So we do appreciate your support.

Anyway, this is a very busy time for us, as we are the process of cleaning up these in process data/trading service API components and using direct connections. This is a lot of work. We are also removing Microsoft .NET and creating our own High-performance Spreadsheet functionality.

Once again, we ask that you keep questions on this board to a minimum. This is a very critical time for us. But we are getting close to completing our work with complete success in order to deliver the very best software.

All of this work, also allows us to begin support for other operating systems.

At this time, we cannot take any new suggestions. Please hold off on those.

2. We have always wanted to offer our own futures market real-time data feed. We do believe at this time, that we may be able to achieve it. We are looking to be a CME sub vendor. This is very costly though.

We are thinking of putting out a package for about 75-80 USD a month (no free trial) for users with funded trading accounts. This will include Sierra Chart package 5 and CME (Chicago Mercantile exchange) real-time and historical data for markets which are included in the CME exchange fee waiver program.

This is still under consideration, and nothing is definite. We are letting you know in order to develop interest in it and to see what kind of demand there is.

This is going to be a top quality data feed which delivers all of the ticks and has 100 percent accurate bid volume and ask volume.

It will be a fully integrated data feed with the current Trading service you are using. There will not be a need to use a 2nd copy of Sierra Chart. The data will be delivered in the same way that our market statistics data feed is.

3. Please also be aware that unless you have a direct paid Sierra Chart account that you pay directly to Sierra Chart for, you are not a direct customer of Sierra Chart, and in those cases, support may be limited and is only provided for basic issues. This rule is not always necessarily true. You can always count on us to help with basic issues or any functional problems with the software.

Congratulations Sierra Chart Engineering. I will immediately convert to an "all in one - data plus chart platform solution" as soon as you make it available. Thank you for providing such an excellent level of service at an affordable cost. I suspect you will rapidly become the industry standard.

Hi, guys.
As a happy customer I want to thank you in return. You are doing a great job! I especially appreciate support for other operating systems. I'm interested in the real-time data-feed as well. I don't need it right now, but I will in the near future.

One exchange at a time. This is a major costly undertaking. These exchanges are not like Bitcoin exchanges.

Great idea. I am interested but two questions:

1) I have no idea how much CME is squeezing data vendors and I suspect this isn't possible given their pricing model but would you be able to consider offering a reduced price point in combination with SC package 3 instead of package 5? (The comparison is not necessarily valid but CTS currently charges a minimum of $25 for data and I am on SC package 3 for a total of approximately $50 per month.)

2) Would your CME data include weekly options?

Thank You

1. Yes, we are thinking of this. Something like 55 a month.

2. We are not sure about this right now.

There are three main things that traders demand from a data feed: reliability, accuracy, and speed.

You have already said it will be accurate, so on to the other two.

If there is a disconnect for a brief time once a month, it will be on par with what's out there currently. Users simply hate disconnects, because all it takes is one and you're screwed. So, it needs to be extremely reliable, as in, it never really goes down.

Speed--needs to be VERY fast, with NO lag.

If you can deliver a fast feed, without lag, that stays up reliably, I'll sign up at the price point mentioned.

Question: how much historical data will be included (how many days of ES tick data, for example), and what is the approximate time frame you are looking to have this up and running?

Finally, thank you as well for continuing to deliver a quality product. I talk about you guys favorably every chance I get because I truly believe you have a fantastic product. Thanks for everything you guys do.

Thank you for the feedback. We are doing our best to ensure that this will be a fast data feed. It will definitely be reliable and accurate.

The intention is that there will be a year of historical tick data available.

We hope this will become available in about 3 or 4 months.

As a soon-to-be user in transition from another charting platform, I find the spreadsheet capabilities a powerful component to the software. Concerning your statement that you will be "removing Microsoft .NET and creating our own High-performance Spreadsheet functionality", will that in any way affect the use of Excel with the spreadsheet studies? Will it all be internal to Sierra Chart or will the ability to stream data into Excel remain?

If it was truly as good as other data vendors I would easily switch and would really want to do it with the level 3 package.

Thanks

It's going to be an excellent data feed. We can assure you of that.

There is no chance at all, it would be made available with package 3 at 26 a month. The absolute minimum pricing is going to be 58 USD per month and there will be no monthly discount.

I am definitely interested in the CME RT and about 2 yrs of historical; the pricing is very reasonable.

Could you provide more specifics regarding "fast speed", especially latency? Will the feed be hosted in a colo with/near the CME feed, or does it go thru a feed service, and then thru SC?

thanks

In regards to the CME exchange fee waived data feed. This is still under consideration and is still not certain if it will come. However, we will reveal a few additional details.

We will be writing specifically to the CME FIX data feed. So it is going to be an accurate complete data feed. We will be co-located with a low latency connection to the CME feed.

There is a lot of work to bring this out. There are many compliance issues which must be attended to. So we do not expect this to come for probably 3 to 4 months from now.
