Default Daily Chart of ESU0

If I have to calculate the 200-daily moving average of ESU0, is it possible? It seems that we don't have sufficient data to do the calculation. How to resolve this problem?

Is that any built-in function in Sierra Chart to do the calculation above?

And is it possible to output the value of the 200-daily moving average of ESU0 in the study sheet of 5-minute chart?

If you are using the SC Historical Data service, then use the symbol ES#. Add the Moving Average-Simple study to the chart and set the Length 200.

You can see it on the 5 minute chart by using the Study/Price Overlay study. Please refer to help topic 28 here:

Thanks. It works. And now I have another question.

Say I have a column of values now in a study sheet, could you tell me how could sort the values in the cells in ascending/descending order?

You can use the Worksheet >> Sort function. Please refer to the documentation here:

Thanks. Could a study, like MA-Simple in a historical chart, like daily chart, be overlaid to the study worksheet of an intra-day chart, like 5-min chart?

And also if I have a column of values, could I draw those values with horizontal lines in the price chart automatically, because the values in the column can change sometimes?

For your first question, you will need to overlay the Moving Average-Simple study to the 5 minute chart. Follow the instructions here:
http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php...details28.html

To see the values on a worksheet you will need to use the Worksheet study.

If you have a column of values in a Worksheet you can draw those on a chart by using the Worksheet study. Please refer to the documentation here:

I had a problem with the sort function.

The values in the cells of a column is referenced from other place from the same sheet, but each time I tried to sort them, most of the values became "0". You can have a simple.

Could I sort the values in the cells of a column automatically, rather than by hand to choose the sort command? Thanks.

We do provide automatic sorting when using Quote Requests on a Worksheet. You can access this under Global Settings >> Quote Line Fields >> Sort Settings.

It doesn't make sense to me. Could you explain it in detailed? Say, I have a series of values from AP3 to AP20, how to sort it automatically when some values in the series will be changing in real time?

We cannot provide any further information. The Automatic sorting feature described in post 8 is for Quote Requests described here:

You mean "Opening or Activating a Chart for a Quote Line"? How is it related to automatic sorting a series of values? It's curious, maybe you misunderstand my question.

We don't know whether you are referring to Quote Requests or not, so if not, then there is no way to do automatic sorting.

I want to criticize the SC.

First when I tried to sort the cells whose values are referenced from other places, some the values became 0.

Second, sometimes the sort function doesn't work as it should do, I mean it doesn't sort anything.

Without specific steps that you are following and your data, your comment is not helpful. Furthermore, the sort functionality does work correctly as it is designed. Most likely you're making a mistake or there is some misunderstanding on your part.

Could I send you my files so that you can have a try to do the sorting for me and see whether it works. If so, how? When my colleagues tried to do son in their computers, it failed too.

By the way could I have the auto filter feature in Excel? It can be accessed in Excel in the menu, but in SC we don't have the menu, only the built-in functions in Excel. Thanks for your time and help these days.

If you can provide us a very simple example, we can have a look. We don't want to work with multiple files.
