Supported Data and Trade Services

Introduction

Sierra Chart supports the following Data and Trade services. These services are either separate from us or are included with the Sierra Chart software service packages. Sierra Chart supports services that provide market data only, and services that provide data and trading (brokerage) services. If the service provides data and trading services, it is referred to as a Trade service. The links below are to the service specific pages that explain the supported Data or Trade service, their symbols and setup instructions. Please be aware that the amount of historical data you can access, the completeness of data, accuracy of data, and timeliness of data are all very much affected by the service you use. Sierra Chart is very well engineered software. However, your charts in some ways will only be as good as the Data or Trade service you are using. Delays and missing data are not a function of our software, but of your Internet connection and the service you are using. We support many excellent and reliable services.

One very important concept to understand with Sierra Chart is that if your service package does not include the particular Data service you need to use and you do not have an active and working account with an external Data or Trade service, then you cannot access the data you want within Sierra Chart. Also, the external services are separate entities with their own support to assist you with connectivity problems. Our ability to help with connectivity to those services is limited. We will always do our best to help you, however you may need to contact the service you are connecting to, if it is not provided by us, for assistance to make the connection if it fails.
