Status Bar
The status bar is below the menu bar of the Sierra Chart main application window.
Status Bar Windows
The status bar contains 2 status windows.
Status Window 1
Status Window 1 displays chart values for the main price graph and tool information when using one of the chart tools. The values displayed are for the current bar being pointed to with one of the tools. And also information specific to the active tool.
Status Window 2
Status Window 2 displays the status of program functions and data feed status.
DF: When connected to the data feed, the number after this text is the sequence number of the latest message received from the data feed. If there is a comma after the first number followed by another number, then this is the number of messages lost.
ST: The number after this text is the number of symbols being tracked by Sierra Chart. If there is a comma after the first number followed by a another number, then the first number indicates the number of symbols that market data has been received on and the second number is the total number of symbols that have been subscribed to. Therefore, the second number will always be equal to or greater than the first number. When Sierra Chart begins to track a symbol, it will continue to do so until you disconnect from the data feed (File >> Disconnect), even if you close a chart or close the workbook a symbol Quote Request is on.
