Sierra Chart Image Upload Service
Introduction and Available Commands
The Image Upload Service will help you save and share chart images in a simple and easy way. Under the Edit >> Screen Image submenu you will find the commands listed below. Selecting any of them uploads an image to the Sierra Chart server. After the upload, a window will display confirming your upload. Press the Yes button to copy the URL (website hyper link) of that image to your systems clipboard. You can then paste the link anywhere you need to, such as an e-mail message or a Sierra Chart Support Board message.
Upload Chart
Will upload an image of the chart currently in view. This will remove any windows that are tiled on top of your chart. Example
Upload Chart with Overlays
Will upload an image of the chart currently in view with all windows above it. Example
Upload Desktop
Will upload an image of your desktop.
Send Chart to Support
Will upload an image of the chart currently in view, and automatically send a copy to Sierra Chart support along with your account name.
Send Desktop Image to Support
Will upload an image of the desktop, and automatically send a copy to Sierra Chart support along with your account name.
Open Upload Log
This command opens the log file of all uploaded images. You will see a list of hyperlinks that you can copy and paste into your browser's address bar, to view the images.
Image Management
To manage your uploaded images go to Help >> Purchase/Account Management on the Sierra Chart menu. On the displayed Webpage click on Manage Images. You will be able to view, delete and add notes to images. There are two options for sharing the uploaded images, either a link to the image itself or a link to a page with that image and the note that you set on your management page. Both links are available beside every image that you have in your management area.

Saving Images To Your Local Computer
To save an image locally on your computer, follow these steps:
- Use one of the Upload commands to upload an image to the Sierra Chart server.
- When you receive the confirmation window indicating that the image has been uploaded, press the Yes but the copy the hyperlink to your system clipboard.
- Go to your web browser and paste the hyperlink into your browser's address bar and press the Enter key to navigate to that hyperlink.
- If you are using Firefox right-click on the image and select Save Image As. Navigate to the location on your computer where you want to save the image, enter a name for it and press the Save button.
